In the Sex Therapy and Andean Healing Training and Retreat, we will explore diverse ways of understanding sexuality through a pluriverse lens. This experience will help participants learn how ancient cultures conceptualize sexuality, highlighting how expressions of sexuality vary across cultural backgrounds and geographical regions. The course will introduce participants to Andean perspectives on the interconnectedness between sexuality and the natural elements, and how these relationships can be thoughtfully incorporated into sex therapy. During the retreat portion of the event, participants will engage in Andean energy-healing practices and experience the benefits of this traditional modality firsthand.
SCHEDULE
The full program starts on Saturday July 4th at 9am after breakfast, and it ends on July 9th. The price for the retreat includes lodging from the night of July 3rd – July 9th, meals, and ground transportation.
The retreat and training program includes morning yoga on the first three days, 15 AASECT CE training hours, ceremonies, ceremonial mishas woven by the Quero community in the high Andes, and free time to study or explore.
Activities: exploration of the Andean cosmology and principles and its application to wellness and sexuality, a look into sex therapy from a holistic perspective, energy healing, ancient worldviews on sexuality, the use of ancient healing modalities in sex therapy, sexuality from a pluriverse perspective, exploration of sex therapy cases, travel to the mountains, Andean healing ceremonies, initiation ceremony, and trekking to sacred mountains and/or lakes.

TRANSPORTATION
Your flight needs to be booked to Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport in Cusco. We have arranged shuttles from the Cusco airport on the day before the program starts on July 3rd, your departure should be arranged for the morning of July 10th. The first shuttle will depart around 11am and the second shuttle no later than 3pm. The exact times will depend on when it’s most convenient for the group. Shuttles will take you to Urubamba, about 35 miles (1.5 hrs. from Cusco).
If your arrival or departure differs from these arranged times, we can help you coordinate a private shuttle.
LODGING
Kinsapacha – Double occupancy hotel room is included. 
MEALS
All meals are included with lodging on the days that there are activities involved. Dietary requirements must be communicated in advance so we can communicate with the hotel to ensure needs are met.

TRAVEL INFORMATION
When traveling outside of your home country, be sure you have all appropriate documentation and are prepared for any fees required by the country of your destination. Peru travel information: A passport valid for six months is required to enter Peru. Tourists must also provide evidence of return or onward travel. Travelers to Peru will receive a card from Peruvian Immigration upon arrival stating the length of approved stay (usually 90 days).
SIGNED RELEASE AGREEMENT
Once you have decided to participate, a release agreement will be forwarded to be signed and the first payment will be due.
